A cold wave is sweeping across the Japanese archipelago, and record-breaking snowfall is expected from tonight (December 30th) through New Year's Eve.
The weather is already severe, and snow is continuing to accumulate at ski resorts across the country. Tomorrow, the skies will likely be in deep powder conditions like the one in the photo above.
Pure powder snow is something we can't hope for, but if you're heading up a snowy mountain between tomorrow and the start of the new year, please be careful to avoid accidents and injuries
